When custom is the right answer

Not always. If a ready-made product does ninety per cent of what you need, buy it. Custom earns its cost when the remaining ten per cent is the part your business competes on, when you are paying staff to move the same numbers between two systems by hand, or when the ready-made options price per user and you have many users.

How we scope it

Software cannot be priced off a page count, so this one starts with a conversation and a written scope rather than a checkout. You tell us what the system has to do and who uses it; we come back with what it will take, in stages, with a quote per stage. You can stop after any stage and still have something that works.

• Your data stays yours and stays exportable — no format only we can read.
• Roles and permissions, so the person at the counter does not see what the owner sees.
• Written down: what it does, how it is deployed, what to do when something breaks.
